WaterGator add-on attachments
WaterGator is a modular aquatic cleanup machine designed for lakes, ponds, channels, and other bodies of water. The following optional attachments ensure optimal performance in all conditions.
Main sickle cutter
54-in. sickle cutter for aquatic vegetation - an essential part of the WaterGator unless you plan to skim only.
Side sickles
A must have if cutting. These vertical sickle cutters allow you to carve straight through weed matts. Comes as set of two, motors included.
Dual paddle wheels
Add to increase thrust and maneuverability. Comes as set of two, we recommend in the front. Note, these outer wheels are more prone to impact and expand machine width to just under 9 ft.
Skimmer booms
These expand the intake width to a 8.5 ft. funnel making skimming easier - good for algae, duckweed, floating debris/vegetation, etc. Can be used with the main sickle on.
WaterGator FAQ
Q: Who is the WaterGator designed for?
A: The WaterGator is built for large-scale operations — contractors, municipalities, lake associations, and homeowners with bigger weed problems. It has more than twice the capacity of the WaterBug with a 1,200 lb. payload and 50 cubic feet of storage.
Q: How deep does the WaterGator cut?
A: The WaterGator cuts aquatic vegetation up to 48 inches (4 feet) deep with its 54-inch sickle cutter. Optional side sickle attachments let it carve straight through thick weed mats.
Q: What makes the WaterGator different from the WaterBug?
A: Scale and capability. The WaterGator is over twice the size, carries 1,200 lbs. vs. 500 lbs., cuts deeper (48 in. vs. 28 in.), has automatic ground-leveling, side sickle options, dual battery power. It's the professional-grade step up.
Q: How long can the WaterGator run on a charge?
A: The WaterGator uses two 24V lithium-ion batteries for 8 hours of continuous run time — a full working day.
Q: Can the WaterGator skim algae and floating weeds?
A: Yes. With optional skimmer booms, the WaterGator's intake widens to 8.5 ft., making it effective for algae, duckweed, and other floating vegetation in addition to submerged weeds.
Q: Does the WaterGator auto-dump its load?
A: Yes. The WaterGator features an auto-dump function, so you can unload collected vegetation without manually handling it. The conveyors are also bidirectional and variable-speed.
