WaterBeetle FAQ

Q: Is the WaterBeetle good for small ponds?
A: Yes — the WaterBeetle is specifically designed for small ponds and residential waterfronts. At just 7 ft. long, 5 ft. wide, and 230 lbs., it operates in as little as 4 inches of water.

Q: What can the WaterBeetle do?
A: The WaterBeetle skims, cuts (up to 12 inches deep with optional sickle), and collects aquatic vegetation. It's ideal for algae blooms, duckweed, and light weed growth.

Q: How is the WaterBeetle different from the WaterBug?
A: The WaterBeetle is smaller, lighter, and more affordable — it's the entry-level machine in the lineup. It has a 12-inch cutting depth vs. the WaterBug's 28 inches, 250 lb. payload vs. 500 lbs., and a 500 ft. range vs. 1,000 ft. Best for smaller ponds and lighter vegetation.

Q: Does the WaterBeetle have a camera?
A: The WaterBeetle does not include a live camera feed. It's designed for closer-range operation (500 ft. line of sight) where you can see the machine directly.

Q: Does the WaterBeetle come with a trailer?
A: Yes. The WaterBeetle has a built-in low-speed trailer so you can tow it to the water and launch immediately. Not street legal.

Q: How much does the WaterBeetle cost compared to other models?
A: The WaterBeetle is the most affordable machine in the lineup, designed to lower the entry barrier for homeowners. Contact a dealer for current pricing.
