WaterBug add-on attachments
WaterBug is a modular aquatic cleanup machine designed for ponds, lake shores, channels, and other small bodies of water. The optional sickle, skimmer boom and brush attachments ensure optimal performance in all conditions.

Sickle cutter
42-in. sickle cutter for aquatic vegetation - an essential part of the WaterBug unless you plan to skim only.

Skimmer booms (set of two)
These expand the intake width to a 7 ft. funnel making skimming easier - good for algae, duckweed, floating debris/vegetation, etc.

Algae brush
Brush attachment used for algae, duckweed, and other "sticky" weeds that may not easily fall off the intake belt on their own. Mounts on top of intake conveyor.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How does the WaterBug work?
A: The WaterBug is a fully electric, remote-controlled machine that floats on the water and uses a sickle cutter to cut aquatic weeds up to 28 inches deep. A conveyor belt collects the cut vegetation into an onboard storage bunk. You operate it from shore using a remote control with a live camera feed.
Q: How far can I operate the WaterBug from shore?
A: The WaterBug has a 1,000-foot line-of-sight range. Most homeowners operate it from their dock or porch using the included viewing screen and live camera feed.
Q: How long does the battery last?
A: The 24V lithium-ion battery provides 4+ hours of continuous run time. It charges fully in about 3.5 hours with the included 15-amp charger, and the battery is easily swappable.
Q: What types of weeds does the WaterBug cut?
A: The WaterBug cuts most common aquatic vegetation including Eurasian milfoil, curly-leaf pondweed, coontail, elodea, and other submerged weeds. It also skims floating vegetation like algae and duckweed with the optional skimmer booms.
Q: How big is the WaterBug?
A: The WaterBug is 5 ft. wide by 10 ft. long and weighs approximately 375 lbs. It can operate in very shallow water and fits through narrow channels and tight shoreline areas.
Q: Do I need chemicals to treat my lake weeds?
A: No. The WaterBug is a mechanical solution — it physically cuts and removes vegetation from the water. No chemicals, no permits required for mechanical harvesting in most areas.
Q: Can one person operate the WaterBug?
A: Yes. The WaterBug is designed for one-person operation. You control it entirely via remote control from shore.Q: How much vegetation can it hold?A: The WaterBug has a rated payload capacity of 500 lbs. and 11 cubic feet of storage. Clear polycarbonate bunk sides let you see the fill level from shore via the camera feed.
